The Logistics of a Sold-Out Room
A sold-out room is a math problem disguised as a feeling. The math has to disappear so the feeling can arrive.

The most intimate night I ever played held four hundred guests. The most crowded night I ever played held sixty. The difference had nothing to do with the count.
Intimacy at scale is engineered. Sightlines, service pace, the ratio of standing to seated, the distance between the horn and the closest table — each of these is a decision that either protects the feeling or dilutes it.
The ratios that matter
“Every seat should feel like it was chosen for the guest sitting in it.”

When the math is right, no one notices the math. When it is wrong, no amount of talent will save the evening. This is why we start with the room and end with the setlist — never the other way around.
